Russian presidential candidiates Vladimir Zhirinovskiy, Gennady Zyuganov and Mikhail Prokhorov outlined their positions concerning the situation in Syria. Vladimir Zhirinovksiy thinks that Russia should support Syria to minimize the pressure, executed on it by the United Sates of America. According to him, it would be a mistake to try to persuade Syrian President Bashar al-Asad to surrender.
